Just how terribly nice it is to be able to use my home computer once again. I have seriously been running up and down the entire island of Singapore just to be able to use a connection. Examples: my school computer lab, my grandmother's house, my aunt's house and even my brother's laptop(when he wasn't around, of course(but actually he says I can use)). Well, they say, "Absence makes the heart grow fonder." and I sure am very fond of my computer now... hee hee hee hee.

After a spell of hot and dry weather, the rains are back again, raining on and off from late last night to 3.30 in the afternoon. It was a very nice thing cos so then we were able to skip jogging...*grin*. Of course, some students got wet from the rain, while some were lucky enough to be able to have their parents picking them up, but then here I am talking about the most mundane things because I can't really think of anything else to say, and when I don't post regularly, people start to come to me asking why I didn't put anything new on my blog... Oh well...

Speech day is tomorrow, on April 1st. I still remember the choir conductor telling us, "Speech Day is on the 1st of April. This is NOT a joke." Hahahaha... As a sort of 'trailer' to our actual performance, we will perform the medley that I talked about earlier. All the Secondary 4 students will be in the hall as well, it's a sort of 'tradition' as our teacher Mrs. Lim Kim Choo said. Still, a lot of students are complaining about having to come all the way back to school on a Saturday and many students also have tuition. All members of the choir will be wearing retro clothes on the day and the Sec. 1 students, who did not learn the song as it was taught last year before they came into the school, will be playing the 'waitresses'. They say I look very pretty in this kind of costume and that I should wear shorter skirts more often. Hahahahaha....

Not that I really bother about whether I look nice or not. After all, I'm not those kinds of people who have to rely on their looks to secure a living, for example a certain Chinese pop group which has now lost most of its popularity. I am just a student. I think I'll probably start to care about my looks when I go out to work. I think. Now, however... well, doesn't matter.

aaarrrggghhh... I was going to prepare myself for some good old action today from all drivers on the F1 grid cos the Sepang circuit looked interesting. Qualifying looked pretty promising, which was the reason why I even bothered to go and watch. What a terrific disappointment, I must say, though. Raikkonen crashed out in the first 5 minutes, before even the first lap was finished!!!! argh. Right at that moment(because only my grandfather's house has cable tv) I said, "I'm going home!" because really Raikkonen constitutes the most part of the F1 I watch. At the same time, Nico Rosberg crashed out a few laps later, so really there wasn't anything seriously worth watching. I'm just going to the F1 website to look at the results later. 'Alo'(Alonso) will probably win though. Not that I really care. I'm just going to finish up my own holiday homework because Term 2 is starting tomorrow.

I'm stuck with a bunch of crazies at choir camp. Worse, I'm getting infected by them... oh no... I like choir though. I think I might like it wholeheartedly if one didn't have to keep standing up during practice. That in itself is fine, but I have lots of pains everywhere up and down my leg, e.g. my ankles, my knees etc.

Example of craziness: My group leader sent us all an email which started with something like this: We're going to win the title for the most enthusiastic group!!! Because you have ME!! and ALL OF YOU!!! Okay, I think she's just over enthusiastic. Games during camp today was pretty disastrous, as we kept losing all of the rounds, except the only game in which we managed to half the record set by the other groups.

I think my camp group mates really deserve to be invited to the 'Haha fun' dorm in IMH (Institute of Mental Health). We (meaning Joyce and me) have a reservation there. Down there is pretty nice, you have a good view of the trees and hills behind and all. By the way, we created the name 'Haha fun' when we were in a creative mood. After all, creativity knows no bounds, right? Ok haha...

We'll be having the auditions for the song 'Ngana' tomorrow and will also be practising the medley of 60s songs in full-dress. What's it about? The only thing I can say is, Go watch our performance!

I have finally come to the conclusion that the reason I was dormant for such a long time was because there was no F1 to talk about. Hee hee hee... Therefore, I have decided to rename my blog 'F1!!!' because really it forms the main portion of what I like to talk about. With other things in my everyday life I can always relate to some person or another, but in the case of F1, the very sad thing is that very little people do ever watch F1 seriously. Well, in Singapore, at least.

Alonso, as usual, was lucky. VERY lucky. Even he himself admits to that(which in my opinion he should have admitted a very long time ago). He just missed hitting Felipe Massa when the Ferrari Massa was driving spun out and you could really see him turning the steering just to avoid hitting him. No wonder my brother calls Alonso "Alon-so-taiko" (taiko means overly lucky, by the way). Raikkonen was extremely spectacular, starting from 22th place into 3rd place(I feel it simply does injustice to him by saying that he started from the back of the grid. It doesn't show how great his achievement is). Last Sunday will probably be one of the best drives in his entire career. Me and my brother were betting on what position he would be in by the end of the first lap. I took 19 and he took 17. It turned out that we were both a long way off as he was already in 13th place by the end of the first lap. Personally though, I felt that the star of the day was the new driver Nico Rosberg. This being his very first race, he managed to get into the 7th place by the end of the race, scoring 2 championship points. This is probably a driver to look out for. A pity that he's stuck with the Williams team for 3 years, or else he might have been able to break Alonso's record for being the youngest driver to win the F1 championship(very sorry to Williams' fans.)

Enough about F1. Choir camp 2006 is coming very soon. In fact, tomorrow. I really do miss the year in 2003 when we had an overnight camp. Yes, we had to do sentry duty, and we also had choir practice at around 8, and endured one night in the freezing school hall, which was so cold that I kept waking up(my internal heat-regulating system wasn't developed yet). Still, that particular choir camp has always remained the best choir camp I've ever had.

I have yet to fully memorise the song that we are supposed to be auditioning for for the choir camp. It's called 'Ngana', which is an indigneous Aboriginal word for 'shark'. Usually I never have problems with the melody memorisation, just a bit of effort on the words, but this is an exception. The song itself is so repetitive that it's really quite difficult to learn.

My very slightly mental group leader(my guess is that she is overly enthusiastic, that's all)- she's my friend, by the way- has sent us all an email asking us to memorise all our camp cheers. Our camp group is called 'Diatomic Triplets'. Why is that? Well, we have to fit in with our camp theme of 'Camp-mystery of Music', which sounds like 'Chemistry of Music'. To me, though, our group name sounds like 'Diatonic Triplets'. Well, whatever it is, doesn't matter.
